Rescue Diver Course Jacksonville
Choose your schedule. Become a more capable dive partner.
Service Description
Earn your SDI Rescue Diver certification with our Rescue Diver Course in Jacksonville. The Rescue Diver course helps experienced recreational divers become more aware of what is happening around them before, during, and after a dive. You’ll work on recognizing diver stress, preventing small issues from becoming larger problems, assisting a tired or distressed diver, responding to emergency scenarios, and organizing an effective response with your buddy or team. Training includes academic preparation, scenario-based skill development, and in-water rescue exercises. This is a hands-on course built around practical decision-making, communication, equipment management, surface response, underwater response, and post-incident considerations. This course is scheduled around your availability and the training plan. After booking, we’ll coordinate your eLearning, any required CPR/first aid/oxygen-provider training, pool or confined-water work if needed, and open-water rescue scenarios. Includes: SDI eLearning, instructor-led rescue training, in-water scenario practice, certification processing, and digital certification card. Prerequisites: Advanced Adventure Diver or equivalent advanced diving experience, current CPR and first aid certification, and any additional prerequisites required by SDI. If you need CPR, first aid, or oxygen-provider training, we can help you add it to your course plan.
Upcoming Sessions
Cancellation Policy
You may reschedule your training session at no charge with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session may receive a refund, less any non-refundable eLearning, certification, or processing fees already issued on your behalf. Cancellations or reschedule requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled session may be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee. No-shows or same-day cancellations forfeit the course payment. We understand that emergencies happen. Contact us as soon as possible, and we will make reasonable efforts to work with you when circumstances are outside your control. Course Materials & eLearning Once SDI eLearning, certification materials, or digital certification processing have been issued, those costs are non-refundable. Students are responsible for completing assigned eLearning before the practical training session. Students who arrive without completing required coursework may need to reschedule and may be subject to the rescheduling policy. Prerequisites & Equipment Students must hold an Open Water Scuba Diver certification or equivalent before certification can be issued. Students should bring a nitrox-capable dive computer if they own one. We will teach you how to verify the gas mix, determine maximum operating depth, and program a nitrox-capable computer correctly. No pool session or open-water dives are required for this specialty. Certification Completion Certification is issued after the student completes all required eLearning, knowledge review, practical gas-analysis requirements, and instructor sign-off. Precision Depth Diving may delay or decline certification if course standards, prerequisites, or required performance objectives have not been met. In those situations, we will explain what remains to be completed and work with the student on a reasonable path forward. Weather and Instructor Changes Because this course does not require open-water diving, weather rarely affects scheduling. However, Precision Depth Diving may reschedule a session because of severe weather, instructor illness, facility issues, or other circumstances that make instruction impractical or unsafe. If Precision Depth Diving must cancel or reschedule, students may choose a new available date or receive a full refund for any unused course portion.
