Sidemount Diver Course Jacksonville
Choose your schedule. Configure your dive your way.
Service Description
Complete our SDI Sidemount Diver Course in Jacksonville, FL on a schedule that works for you. Sidemount diving places your primary cylinders along your sides rather than on your back, creating a streamlined, adaptable configuration with direct access to your valves, regulators, and gas supply. This course is for certified recreational divers who want to learn proper sidemount setup, trim, cylinder management, and in-water handling—not just move tanks from their back to their sides. Complete the online learning at your own pace, then meet with an instructor for a hands-on equipment workshop and in-water training. You’ll work on harness adjustment, cylinder rigging, hose routing, weighting, regulator switching, gas management, buoyancy, trim, and keeping your equipment close and organized throughout the dive. This is an on-demand course. Choose your preferred training timeframe during booking, and we’ll confirm the equipment plan, training location, cylinder options, and course schedule with you afterward. **Includes:** SDI eLearning, instructor-led sidemount configuration workshop, in-water sidemount training, certification processing, and digital certification card. **Prerequisite:** Open Water Scuba Diver certification or equivalent. Students must be at least 18 years old. **Student provides:** Personal mask, fins, exposure protection, dive computer, dive-site entry fees, air fills, and any personal sidemount equipment not included in the scheduled course plan.

Cancellation Policy
You may reschedule your training session at no charge with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session may receive a refund, less any non-refundable eLearning, certification, or processing fees already issued on your behalf. Cancellations or reschedule requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled session may be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee. No-shows or same-day cancellations forfeit the course payment. We understand that emergencies happen. Contact us as soon as possible, and we will make reasonable efforts to work with you when circumstances are outside your control. Course Materials & eLearning Once SDI eLearning, certification materials, or digital certification processing have been issued, those costs are non-refundable. Students are responsible for completing assigned eLearning before the practical training session. Students who arrive without completing required coursework may need to reschedule and may be subject to the rescheduling policy. Prerequisites & Equipment Students must hold an Open Water Scuba Diver certification or equivalent before certification can be issued. Students should bring a nitrox-capable dive computer if they own one. We will teach you how to verify the gas mix, determine maximum operating depth, and program a nitrox-capable computer correctly. No pool session or open-water dives are required for this specialty. Certification Completion Certification is issued after the student completes all required eLearning, knowledge review, practical gas-analysis requirements, and instructor sign-off. Precision Depth Diving may delay or decline certification if course standards, prerequisites, or required performance objectives have not been met. In those situations, we will explain what remains to be completed and work with the student on a reasonable path forward. Weather and Instructor Changes Because this course does not require open-water diving, weather rarely affects scheduling. However, Precision Depth Diving may reschedule a session because of severe weather, instructor illness, facility issues, or other circumstances that make instruction impractical or unsafe. If Precision Depth Diving must cancel or reschedule, students may choose a new available date or receive a full refund for any unused course portion.
